The HBI PACT™ for Adults construction skills training class will begin Monday June 16, 2014in Concord and will run 8am-2pm, M-F .

New Hampshire residents are eligible for construction skills training, and job placement with new HBI initiative New Hampshire residents have access to free training, certification and job placement in the state’s home building, remodeling and light commercial construction sectors through a new Home Builders Institute –HBI PACT ™ for Adults skills training and job placement program.
Construction employers across the country report difficulty finding qualified workers at all levels of the industry, including entry-level and semi-skilled craft workers, apprentices, managers and subcontractors. To meet the demand HBI and the New Hampshire Home Builders Association are partnering to help reemploy
veterans with training and job placement in construction.
HBI provides this free comprehensive training program through the US Department of Labor which includes support services, job placement and follow-up for successful employment.
Students participating in the HBI program will receive training in all facets of general construction and facilities maintenance, including carpentry, electrical wiring, landscaping, painting, plumbing, masonry and weatherization. Program graduates earn an industry-sponsored and validated pre-apprenticeship certificate.
Upon graduation each student graduating from the HBI-Pact™ program will receive:
- Screening and assessment to develop an individualized training plan
- Skills training
- OSHA 10, EPA Lead Paint and HBI PACT™ Certification
- Job search and placement assistance
- Free set of hand tools and personal protective equipment
